Compliance Status
Hotel San Samuele is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with Italian Law No. 4 of January 9, 2004.
Following the technical remediation and adjustment work carried out on the website, this application is Compliant with the requirements laid down in Annex A of the UNI EN 301549 standard (WCAG 2.1 Level AA).
Results of Completed Remediation Work
Following technical audits and corrective actions applied to the templates and web components, the main issues identified in previous audits have been resolved:
- Landmark Structure Resolution (region): The integration of the semantic
<main>container and hierarchy corrections in Elementor Theme Builder eliminated and resolved all previous warnings regarding content outside landmarks (over 300 instances resolved). - Link and Image Accessibility: All links lacking an accessible name were fixed, and text alternatives (
altattributes) were added to all informative images and room listing cards. - Color Contrast: All texts and informative elements (including bar menu prices and room cards) meet the required minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1.
- Heading Hierarchy: The structural order of heading levels (from H1 to H6) was standardized, ensuring smooth navigation for assistive technologies.
- Automated Scan Results: Automated checks using analysis tools show zero critical or serious accessibility violations.
Preparation of this Accessibility Statement
The compliance assessment was performed using:
- Automated scanning and analysis via the axe-core (v4.13.0) testing engine.
- Targeted manual checks covering keyboard navigation, HTML DOM structure, and usability with assistive technologies (NVDA and VoiceOver screen readers).
